Beginnings is the alias and solo project of experimental musician Jon Frost, who creates drifting soundscapes with electric guitar and laptop synths. On this his first official release, Jon adopts a semi-improvised approach by recording passages of solo guitar on-the-fly, then later arranging them with electronic layers of tone, harmony and noise to create a sound that is full of shifting textures and ambient melancholy, designed to accompany the waiting moments of any given day. Widesky is the moniker of Seth Chrisman, experimental musician and multimedia artist from New Mexico. Extended techniques, field recordings, found sound and radio static are employed as source material, woven together through improvisation with DSP chains and looping software to create subtly undulating and centrifugal compositions. Floating in Being was recorded during the winter months of 2009-2010, inspired by feelings of intercorporeity with the acoustic environment and the vast and barren...

Radere is the nom du plume of Carl Ritger, a Philadelphia-based writer and sound artist. Inspired by the notions of stasis and chance, he has been exploring the fusion of acoustic sound sources and digital production techniques since 2003. Largely shunning synthesis in favor of heavily processed organic loops, Ritger’s aesthetic aims to strike a delicate balance between densely textured washes of sound and subtle rhythmic structures. His full-length debut – A Process In The Weather Of The...

Leonardo Rosado’s main musical focus explores the collision between sound, poetry and everyday life by using automatic expressions what he likes to call – word/soundscapes. The construction of his music pieces expose daily life happenings that are individual and at the same time universal: it has a strong sense of suggesting a pause to think about our actions and our surroundings. Words and sounds have different meanings, depending on the listener, but only if s/he takes some time to delve...

Our 48th release comes from Strom Noir (Hibernate, Resting Bell, Ambsine) and is titled “Music for the Succulents“. The ep consists of 3 tracks created mainly using loop pedals and acoustic guitars, although the last track "Desert in bloom” brings some gently distorted tunes made by its electric sister. As the title prescribes, each track is somehow connected & dedicated to the one of the most beautiful plants of the world – the succulents. http://stromnoir.blogspot.com/...

As influences changed and interests broadened Adam began using electronic arrangements and drum machines to flesh out sounds exploring different atmospheres and textures. To date Finglebone has released two ep's. The first ‘empty rooms forgotten songs’ is a collection of instrumental...

This latest ‘dispatch’ is yet more meaningless space gloom from Arkhonia, twenty minutes of abstract sound impersonating music. Its original source was a fifteen-second sound sample, expanded to eighty minutes, and then trimmed-down, over the space of six months, to this final version. As with the bulk of Arkhonia’s previous release, no musicians or instruments were involved in its construction. Chance and happenstance, random processes, arbitrary decisions, happy (and unhappy)...
